Vanessa Winter - Naturopath, Medical Herbalist & Bioresonance Practitioner
I am a graduate of South Pacific College of Natural Therapies, New Zealand, completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Comp. Medicine), as well as achieving the Deans award for academic excellence. During this time I also obtained my Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy and Advanced Diploma of Herbal Medicine. Formerly a teacher, I hold a Bachelor of Education from Auckland University.
During my early 20's I developed a passion for natural therapies which lead to the undertaking of formal study some years later. As life-long learning is something that I am passionate about, I continue to be involved in extensive professional development each year. I am currently registered with Naturopathics of NZ Inc, and am embarking upon the Diploma of Bioresonance Therapy during 2011.
While I have a strong belief and background in traditional herbal medicine, I have developed a growing awareness of the role that technology can play in both the diagnosis and treatment of health conditions. I have found that by utilizing the latest technology, results for clients are greatly enhanced. I am currently very interested in working with people in the field of allergies, weight loss and smoking cessation using BICOM bioresonance therapy. There is a growing body of work and studies accumulating worldwide in this field, with some remarkable results. This treatment and diagnosis modality has been integrated into my practice, alongside my skills in naturopathy, western herbal medicine, homotoxicology, and nutrition/lifestyle education.
Maria Hoogeveen - Naturopath, Medical Herbalist & Bioresonance Practitioner
I have always been interested in natural health and taking the opportunity to study at the South Pacific College of Natural Therapeutics in Auckland was one of the best things I have ever done. Early 2005, I left the college with a Bachelor of Health Science (complementary medicine), an advanced Diploma of Naturopathy and an Advanced Diploma of Medical Herbalism. Ever since I have been working as a naturopath.
In many respects, naturopathy is really common sense applied to health. The basic principle is that we have tremendous innate healing abilities, and our systems will always attempt to overcome an illness and restore health. To encourage these attempts I use a variety of non-invasive modalities including nutrition (diet and supplements), herbal medicine, homotoxicology and Bicom bioresonance therapy.
As a keen lifelong learner I continuously undertake further education in order to remain at the cutting edge of natural health developments. This resulted in the latest addition to my repertoire: Bicom bioresonance therapy. Where nutrition and herbal medicine predominantly use the scientific paradigms of chemistry, biology and physiology, Bicom bioresonance uses physics as its scientific framework. It depends on the client’s complaint which approach(es) will be used. I believe combining different modalities to healing is an important part of holistic medicine.
